General Overview - Recreational Program

Our recreational soccer program is focused on developing players of any skill level in a fun, inclusive, environment.  We offer opportunities for players ages 4-19 to learn and grow as a team player while enjoying the sport of soccer.  Player development centers on technical and tactical skill individually, and as a group, while promoting sportsmanship and respect for all.

 

Key Notes:

  • Available for all players of any skill level from age 3 through 19.
  • No tryouts.  All are welcome.
  • Cost: $120 ($10 sibling discount if registered together)
  • Volunteer Head Coaches are refunded their child's registration following season completion.
  • Evaluations may be held to help even team.
  • Teams are formed based on the number of registrants in each division.
  • Fall seasons begin in late August or early September (based on division) and end in November.
  • Spring Seasons Begin in March and end in May.
  • Teams are coed or girls only based on registrant numbers.

U6-U8 (2018-2020 Birthyear)

  • In-House League Play
  • Our youngest players learn the game in a fun, engaging environment focused on skill development and teamwork.
  • Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • Location: Poor Farm Park
  • Format: 4v4, no goalkeeper (small-sided)
  • Teams: Coed and structured for even matches (player rotation possible for balance)
  • Focus: Fundamentals, movement and FUN!
  • Ball Size: 3
  • Gear needed: Solid black shorts, black socks, shin guards, cleats and size 3 ball.

 

U10 (2016-2017 Birthyear)

  • Cross Association League
  • Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • Games: Saturdays or Sundays (varies based on League schedule)
  • Location: Practices at Poor Farm Park, Games at PFP and Richmond Metro Area
  • Format: 7v7
  • Teams: Coed and girls-only (girls-only based on registration numbers).
  • Focus: Player Development and Teamwork
  • Ball Size: 4
  • Gear needed: Solid black shorts, black socks, shin guards, cleats and size 4 ball.
